Terms of use

Last updated 10 October 2026. By creating an account, paying for a plan or using Lakshyank (lakshyank.com and our apps), you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Lakshyank.

1. What Lakshyank is

Lakshyank is an online practice and testing service for exams such as UPSC, JEE, NEET, SSC, banking and CBSE. It is meant for practice. It is a study aid, not an official source for any exam.

2. We are not connected to any exam body

Lakshyank is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by UPSC, NTA, SSC, IBPS, CBSE or any other exam conducting body, school or publisher. Exam and organisation names are used only to say which exam a question is meant for, and belong to their owners.

3. Questions, answers and explanations may contain mistakes

• We do not guarantee that any question, option, answer key, explanation, solution, rank, marking scheme, syllabus note or exam pattern is correct, complete or up to date. Content comes from previous papers, our own team and teachers, and errors can happen in copying, conversion, answer keys and official corrections.
• Where an official answer key or notification differs from what you see here, the official one is the correct one. Please check anything important against the official source.
• If you find a mistake, use the "Report a problem" option or write to us. We will review it, but we do not promise to correct it by a set time.
• Marks, ranks and analysis on Lakshyank show how you did against other users of Lakshyank only. They do not predict, promise or reflect your result in any real exam.

4. No guarantee of results

We do not promise that using Lakshyank will get you a rank, a score, a selection, an admission or a job. Your result depends on your own effort and on factors we do not control. We are not responsible for any decision you take about your studies, exam attempts or career based on content or results shown here.

5. Content added by teachers, schools and coachings

Tests and questions created by teachers, schools or coachings are their own responsibility. We do not check each of them and we are not responsible for their accuracy, fairness, marking or conduct. A school or coaching is responsible for its teachers, its students and for having any consent it needs from parents.

6. Plans, prices and features can change

• We may change prices, plans, limits, features, the exams and tests offered, and what is free or paid, at any time. A change applies to purchases and renewals made after it. A plan you have already paid for keeps its terms until the end of the period you paid for.
• We may add, change, hide or remove tests, questions, exams and features, for example for accuracy, legal or technical reasons. This is not a reason for a refund.
• Prices shown include or exclude taxes as stated at checkout. Please check the amount before you pay.

7. Payments and refunds

Payments are handled by our payment partner (for example Razorpay) or by UPI. We do not see or store your card or bank password. All payments are final and non-refundable, as set out in the refund policy. Your plan starts after the payment is confirmed. For UPI payments, an admin checks the transaction ID, which can take up to a day. A wrong or reused transaction ID can be rejected.

8. Fair use and what is not allowed

• Your account is for you. Do not share your login, or sell or hand out access to your plan.
• Do not copy, scrape, record, resell or publish our questions, tests, explanations or rankings, in whole or in part, without our written permission.
• Do not cheat, use bots or helpers in a test, attack the service, upload harmful files, or post abusive, false or unlawful ratings, reports or messages.
• We may warn, limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or the law, and we may remove plan access without a refund.

9. Strict mode and tests

Strict mode warns and blocks students who leave the test page. It depends on your device and internet, and it can sometimes wrongly flag or miss someone. A teacher's or our decision on a blocked, late or disputed attempt is final for ranking on Lakshyank. We are not responsible for a lost attempt caused by your device, internet, power, browser or app.

10. The service may be interrupted

We try to keep Lakshyank running but we do not promise it will always be available, fast, secure or free of errors. It may be down for maintenance, updates, third-party failures or reasons outside our control. Do not depend on it for anything where a failure would cause serious loss. We try to keep your data safe, but you should keep your own copy of anything important, such as test files you upload.

11. Teachers and the referral code

A teacher's referral code lets students who sign up with it join that teacher's students. Access to upload tests and questions through referrals depends on the conditions shown on the site, which we may change. We may refuse, cancel or withdraw referral access, with no reward or payment, if we find fake accounts, self-referrals, misuse or content that breaks these terms. A referral code gives no cash, commission or ownership of any student's account.

12. Students under 18

Students under 18 need a parent's or guardian's consent to use Lakshyank, as shown at sign-up. Only people aged 18 or above should pay for a plan, or a parent or guardian should pay for them.

13. Our rights in the content

Lakshyank, its design, software and the way its content is put together belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own study. Previous papers and question material are used for practice and education. If you own rights in something shown here and think it is used wrongly, write to us at support@lakshyank.com with the details and we will look at it promptly and remove it where needed.

What you post (such as ratings, comments and reports) stays yours, but you allow us to show and use it on Lakshyank. You are responsible for it and you must not post anything you do not have the right to post.

14. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Lakshyank is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises of any kind other than those we state in writing. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of marks, rank, opportunity, income, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim about Lakshyank is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited, including rights under consumer protection law.

15. Your data

We collect and use personal data (such as your name, email, date of birth, exams and test results) to run Lakshyank, show you your progress, show teachers the results of their students, and contact you about your account. We do not sell your data or show ads based on it. Teachers and schools you join can see your results in their tests. Read the privacy policy for the details, and see how to delete your account.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Lakshyank after a change, you accept the new terms. For a change that matters a lot, we will try to tell you on the site or by email.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first at support@lakshyank.com and give us a reasonable time to sort out the problem. If it is not resolved, the courts at the place of Lakshyank's registered address have jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to approach a consumer forum or court under law.

18. General

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond our control. These terms, with the refund policy, are the whole agreement between you and Lakshyank about the service.
